What are the best AI tools for your business?

We all want to be more efficient, productive and competitive in the business world. Hence the need for an AI marketing toolkit. So let’s figure out yours, shall we?

I’ve broken these top 10 tools down by function to help you build your AI marketing toolkit quickly.

But – first things first:

What is an AI tool?

An AI tool is a type of software that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automate or assist with tasks. AI tools are becoming hugely popular for business and marketing applications, across industries and around the world.

Does Google Penalize AI Generated Content?

At the time of writing, the answer is… no.

Google’s algorithms are designed to recognize content generated by AI tools and treat it the same as any other content. However, you do want to make sure any AI-generated writing passes with flying colors on quality and usefulness. Usually this means editing the heck out of that content.

Also (and maybe this goes without saying), Google’s own widespread use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and AI models for its many properties – search engine included – should put us all at ease.

Frequently Asked Questions

Let’s cover a few FAQs…

What is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT stands for “Conversational Generative Pre-trained Transformer”.

ChatGPT

This natural language processing (NLP) model was released in 2020 by OpenAI, a research laboratory based in San Francisco and founded in by Elon Musk and other prominent figures in the tech industry.

How can you use AI tools to improve business and marketing?

In a nutshell, AI tools can help you research at lightening speed, improve SEO without hiring an agency, handle basic customer service inquiries, and automate marketing tasks including email campaigns, content creation, and analytics.

Most of these tools are budget-friendly, especially when compared to outsourcing. A small business owner, entrepreneur, freelancer, or marketing agency-of-one like myself can get more done with these AI tools.

Can I use AI tools for SEO rather than hiring an SEO agency?

I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised at the capabilities of these AI writing tools that come with extensive SEO features.

It is absolutely possible to produce high-ranking content at scale without the need of an SEO agency. However, you’ll still need (in my opinion) to build authority with adequate quality and quantity of backlinks.

Since there are certain SEO practices that can hurt your website’s Google rankings (keyword stuffing, link buying, duplicate content, cloaking) you may feel more comfortable either taking this DIY approach or hiring a trusted marketing assistant to follow best SEO practices.

SEO

In short, these tools can provide an SEO roadmap to help your business maintain a good ranking on Google.

What are the drawbacks to using AI tools for marketing automation?

Well, job displacement for one. 😟

But many of these AI tools still need some hand-holding – whether by you or a hands-on marketing manager. For example, social media AI tool Sprinkler describes their tool’s function to “help social media managers achieve more with AI.” The goal isn’t to replace talented professionals with robots, but to help them help the business succeed.

Another drawback: AI writing tools are still, in my experience, a little robotic. Successful marketing strategies and campaigns rely on connection, empathy and personality, so be sure to add writing that’s your own.

Am I “cheating” by using AI writing tools in my business and marketing?

Absolutely not. I agree, it can feel like cheating – but we’re not writing term papers here.

The business landscape is always changing, and to attract and win over new customers and clients in this tech-driven online world, you simply want the best tools available.

As noted earlier, if Google and every other tech giant is using AI tools, the playing field is officially wide open.

Does Hello, Neumann use AI tools???

You betcha. But mainly for research and SEO.

A lot of what goes into these blogs can’t be pulled out of millions of bits of data. My content comes from my experience in the real world – experience that’s rich and full of interesting tidbits that I like to weave throughout my recommendations.

When it comes to producing engaging content using this kind of technology vs. human-powered kind, I agree with Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton, who makes a parallel distinction between special effects and live action. Audiences want realistic scenes, and to get those, sometimes you have to go old school – like hoisting an actual Muni bus in the air that jerks and jounces around violently to produce authentic movement and emotion in its actors.

Conclusion

AI tools are here to stay, and they’re improving by the nanosecond. That’s good news, because there are quite a few I came across that didn’t make the cut!

The whole point of building your own AI marketing toolkit is to help you work smarter, not get distracted by endless free trials that lead to no output.

Try out a few AI tools, see what works for your business needs and keep checking back for updates.

To your continued success! 🥂
